Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)

Being a freelance practitioner of DMT, I’ve had opportunities to apply the therapeutic intervention to various groups like special children, senior citizens, corporates, physically challenged, rescued girls, street children, etc. each aiming at fulfilling varied goals through the intervention strategy. Adding to this is the teaching experience at the DMT program conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) in Mumbai, wherein I specialize in teaching ‘the importance of human anatomy & physiology in relation to dance’.

Practicing techniques of DMT, on self and it’s application to various groups as part of workshops has brought me a long way in the field. Every DMT workshop has been a learning experience not just for the participants, but for myself as well. With regards to it’s application in daily life situations, it has proved to be very practical and easy to apply. I have personally experienced the results of the practice of DMT in my personal growth as an individual and as a professional practitioner of the same. Please write to me at [email protected] if DMT is of interest to you.
